Even though little information has been released on Kinect Joy Ride at this point, it isn't hard to tell that this game may revolutionize racing games forever. No video game has ever allowed you to feel as immersed into the racing experience as Joy Ride will. The fact that you will be able to control your car by moving your body in the appropriate way is definitely the main reason for this. First, lets take a look at some of the “controls” you will be using when playing this game.

To control your car in Joy Ride, you need to hold your hands in the air and basically pretend you are holding a steering wheel. When you rotate your hands left or right, Kinect will recognize this and turn the car in the correct direction. This may be the single coolest aspect of this game since you will be using the real life motions you would use when actually driving a car. Also, by quickly thrusting your hands forward your car gets a temporary speed boost. Sounds pretty neat right? One last control that has been released is that by turning your body left or right, it will cause your car to spin slightly in whichever direction you turned. Sounds like you're really going to have to get into it if you want to beat out your competition in this game. But this is of course the best part about the Kinect in general, it allows you to feel like your in the game, rather than just playing it.

From the screen shots of Kinect Joy Ride that have been released, it looks like the game will sort of have a cartoon-like look to it, but not so much as to make it look too childish. The graphics actually look relatively impressive, but that's not too surprising anyways since the game will be powered by the Xbox 360.
